SERMON NOTES:
- There is a will of God for you!
- God does not change his mind!!!!
- Sometimes the situation may not mirror what God has said!
- When you have seen it you now have to believe it!
The measure that God has for you requires another level of faith
‘Mustard seed faith will not bring you to where God has portioned for you! ‘
Hebrews 11:1 – ”NOW FAITH is the assurance (the confirmation, the title deed) of the things [we] hope for, being the proof of things [we] do not see and the conviction of their reality [faith perceiving as real fact what is not revealed to the senses].“
- capitals show importance, the reader needs to focus on what is in capitals (FAITH)
- Faith is the assurance the confirmation of the things we hope for!
- Faith is with progression but hope is the starting point.
- Hope is expecting but Faith is the destination.
- It’s good to start with Hope but progress to Faith !
GO BACK AND LOOK AT WHAT YOU ASKED FOR. WHAT YOU HOPE FOR YOU HAVE !
There’s 5 senses
- Sight, sound ,smell, taste , hear and touch
- Faith appeared as real fact what is not appeared to the senses’
- Your senses should not determine your faith
- It doesn’t matter what you see
- Faith is perceiving as real what is not with my senses
Romans 4:17 – ”as the scripture says, “I have made you father of many nations.” So the promise is good in the sight of God, in whom Abraham believed — the God who brings the dead to life and whose command brings into being what did not exist.“
18 – ”Abraham believed and hoped, even when there was no reason for hoping, and so became “the father of many nations.” Just as the scripture says, “Your descendants will be as many as the stars.”
19 – He was then almost 100 years old; but his faith did not weaken when he thought of his body, which was already practically dead, or of the fact that Sarah could not have children.“
- Abraham did not consider his senses but still trusted in the promise of God!
- The devil will always give your senses something to work on! But faith does not consider your senses
- ”Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed John 20:29 KJV
- Just because your eyes have not seen it doesn’t mean it’s not there.
Mark 11:22 : ”Jesus was matter-of-fact: “Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or hemming and hawing—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone, forgive—only then will your heavenly Father be inclined to also wipe your slate clean of sins.”“
(MSG)
– embrace the God life and nothing will be unavailable to you.
”Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.“
Mark 11:24 KJV
⁃Faith is an desire
⁃Lebano – to lay hold. To receive.
Acts 14:9-10 ”And there sat a certain man at Lystra, impotent in his feet, being a cripple from his mother’s womb, who never had walked: the same heard Paul speak: who stedfastly beholding him, and perceiving that he had faith to be healed,“
”said with a loud voice, Stand upright on thy feet. And he leaped and walked.“
⁃WHAT ARE YOU CONFESSING?
⁃As believers we need to confess what we need to say?
